Dr. Milind is one of the rare recipients of a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India on Telecom Technology Transfer, also a recipient of the Rotary International Peace Fellowship. He has been relentlessly working towards realizing the Dream of the former President of India, Late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam on the forecast of “Providing Urban Opportunities in Rural Areas” (PURA). He has co-authored a world-class textbook on Mobile Communications with a core focus on the Indian Telecom ecosystem. The book titled “Next Generation Mobile Communications – Mobile, Infra Technology, Management, and Data” is published by McGraw Hill Education. He serves as a member of TAC (Telecom Advisory Committee), Ministry of IT & Telecommunication of India, New Delhi, BSNL Pune. At MIT School of Telecom, he is at the helm of providing MOOCs (Massively Open Online Courses) and TSSC (Telecom Sector Skills Council) Certifications to students.

He has two Doctorates to his credit, the First in International Trade, and the Second in Wireless Technology. He has played a vital role in the development of the prestigious International Event -ROBOCON right since its inception in India (2005).
